Our theme for this week is “Bird’s Eye View.” Arielle has always loved to help us around the house. She enjoys imaginative play, and especially likes to pretend she is washing dishes. This evening, she asked to “help mama washing dishes?” I foresaw the potential wet mess of floor, clothes, and wet everything else… but they were small griefs amidst the joy of working together. I pulled up a chair, and invited her help. She would sooner choose washing dishes, or sweeping the floor, over playing with a toy. I love her eagerness to use her hands for purposeful activities. (My curious Chloie joined us on my back in a Lalu Wovens, Demoiselle Azure wrap.)
